| | The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced? - Can You See Me | ] | Nature has been pretty interesting lately.
There was going to be a big post after moving that never happened, and one bit was to be about the Spider-Bee Wars occurring in the frame of the sliding glass door that I rarely used. Made me feel like going to Nebraska and buying insurance. Lots of fun to watch, and so far as I could tell, nobody got hurt. I would not want to have been that bee if the spider venom got in, though.
Today I left work a couple of hours early, stopped to get some junk from the old place, and came home to get some sleep and attempt to recover from this sore throat. Woke up, still am sick but feel a hell of a lot better. Something about an early evening nap seems to engage the creativity. I dreamed, eventually, of a small scale fantasy combat system that I think would actually work, and satisfies my need for such a thing not to be based on the kind of broad strokes D&D is done with. I don't know if I remember enough of it now to do anything with it, though.
So then I figured it was time to get up and do laundry, feed the cats, etc. Usually I just give them a bowl or two of kibble, but today I helped one catch this.
I don't know as I object to having that in the house, so long as it stays out of the breakfast cereal, but I guess I don't particularly object to it being eaten by a cat, especially when it's not the cat who licks my hand. So I helped him find it again when it ran under the laundry hamper, to see what he would do, and I'm pretty sure he ate the thing. |

Centipedes are GREAT cat toys. All those legs! Crunchy! Hardy! Plus, the humans approve of it!
This post was Not For Kestrels.

Was WORSE than a thingo. Was a ThingoMAX.
Yuck! That is entirely too many legs. Good cat! Keep On Snackin!
I really wish I hadn't clicked on that link.
Informative and yet icky, like the show that I watched today about the man with the 8-foot colon from which 40 lb of "material" was removed.
*clicked, but fled before the picture loaded*
*smart!*
*has A Thing about centipedes and other crawly things*
That's worse than spiders, even! *climb up lion to safety*
You can't climb the lion unless you visit it in irc first! | |
